Director of Finance
TIFFANY YVONNE COX grew up as a military brat, living throughout the United States. She has continued her nomadic lifestyle working at various theatres in the country. Some of her favorite roles include Addaperle (The Wiz - Addaperle/Lord High Underling), Angela (Parade - CPCC Summer Theatre), Dionne (Hair - Tibbits Opera House), Princess Astrid (The Princess and the Pea Tibbits Opera House), Featured ensemble (Godspell - PCPA), and the following understudy roles at The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre: Eurydice (Eurydice), Della (I Just Stopped by to See The Man), Millie (Trouble In Mind). Now based in Chicago, she has worked with The Chicago Children's Theatre (The One Hundred Dresses - u/s Maddie), MPAACT Theatre (Ten Square - u/s Talia), Gorilla Tango Theatre (The Exonerated - Georgia). Tiffany received a B.F.A. in Musical Theater with minors in Spanish and Dance from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and completed acting internships at The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts Center and The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. When not on stage she enjoys dancing to Caribbean music, hosting gatherings with family and friends, cooking, and experiencing nature.

MARTI L. GOBEL graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2008 with a BA in Performance Theatre and a minor in philosphy. University roles include Popeye Jackson in The Ms. Firecracker Contest, May Henning in The Affections of May, and Peg Costello in The Desk Set. Prior to her graduation, Marti worked with Milwaukee Shakespeare understudying Henry IV in Henry IV, 2. Her postgraduate career began with playing multiple characters in Milwaukee Chamber Theatre’s production of Well. Since then, she has gone on to become a familiar face in Milwaukee working at such theatres as Renaissance Theatreworks, Bunny Gumbo, First Stage Children’s Theatre, and The Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Outside of Milwaukee, Marti has worked with The Kenosha Civil War Museum in an ongoing role as the historical figure Ida B. Wells. To date, her most exiting project has been as co-founder to UPROOTED theatre. The African American focused company has given us the freedom to be a voice for an extremely multi-faceted group of people through the performing arts. Marti wishes to thank her husband and children for their patience and love.

DENNIS F. JOHNSON has been active in the Milwaukee theatre scene for nearly a decade. He began life as an actor appearing in Hello Dolly at Skylight Opera Theatre before discovering his true passion, directing. Mr. Johnson has trained with, and served as assistant director for, Anne Marie Cammarato, Tony Horne, and most extensively, Angela Iannone. He has directed at the high school and collegiate level, and assistant directed professionally at Reniassance Theaterworks (Hippolytus and The Persians), Chamber Theatre (Moon Over the Brewery), and First Stage Children’s Theater (The Wiz).

TRAVIS A. KNIGHT has returned to Milwaukee after spending the summer as a company member at American Players Theatre. Travis is a proud graduate of UW-Milwaukee’s BFA Actor training program. While there, some of his favorite credits included Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun, Jay in the world premier of Ghost, and Floyd “Schoolboy” Barton in Seven Guitars. Since graduating in December of 2007, Travis has gone on to work with such companies as In Tandem, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, the late Milwaukee Shakespeare, Renaissance Theatreworks, and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. This winter he will be appearing as Randolph in Milwaukee Chamber Theatre’s production of Moon Over the Brewery; with assistant direction from his fellow founder, Dennis F. Johnson. Travis is excited to begin this wonderful journey of UPROOTED with this amazing and talented group of family.
